| volk residence remodel and addition Aldridge Road, North Carolina Impact Sketch provided services in connection with a series of projects to repair, remodel, and expand a classic Mission Colonial Revival home, originally built in the 1920�s and disfigured by inconsistent additions over the years. The home occupies a hillside site in San Luis Obispo and a portion of the work involved stabilization of the structure against soil creep. The owners are well versed in the elements of the building style and Bruce Fraser worked collaboratively with them to research and accomplish appropriate detailing. Work included planning of the large overall site, remodeling of a guest house and another out-building, and the design of extensive spaces exterior to the structures. Client: Ken and Tricia Volk |
