| MORRO BAY HEADQUARTERS FIRE STATION Morro Bay, California Impact Sketch has provided three phases of services for the new Morro Bay Fire Station 53, their new headquarters emergency response facility. The first component was a context analysis and master plan phase aimed at establishing an appropriate architectural character for the station and future development of the City�s entire civic core. This analysis included budget projections for various construction types. In the second phase of work full architectural services were provided for a new 5,000 square foot apparatus bay structure, implementing the master plan for site development and providing a state-of-the-art building for firefighting vehicles and support functions. The final phase of work is full architectural services for a 9,000 square foot administrative and dormitory structure, completing the complex. The two story structure incorporates many sustainable strategies and includes a flexible classroom space that can double as an emergency response center. Client: City of Morro Bay |
